Time to be honest with myself…

April 1, 2007 – 6:36 pm| By admin

Now i’m setting up this blog. It’s still very much a baby. I’d say it will be for maybe the first 3 to 4 months. Right now though i’m still going through putting plugins in, searching for a theme i like. I’ll be searching for something I’m happy with for a while I think. I made posts on themes and plugins on sharethemoneywith.us earlier last month and yes, I’m actually refering to them while setting up this blog. Right now i’m going through getting the plugins I need. Themes will be tomorrow.

Now I need to ask myself something, to use ads or not to use ads? Right now i’m leaning towards no using ads. Not now, maybe not ever? Also I will be having the big RSS square that everyone loves (or hates). However I don’t think i’ll be posting my number of subscribers for a while. I’d like to build that in private before making it public. Also, tomorrow once the internet is less shaky i need to update my permalinks. So in terms of following, and the number of readers… I’m no mogul but I’d like to publicize the site. The one thing i have learned is that these things come in time.

I want to say what’s on my mind dammit!

It’s simple here. My other sites have a very rigid purpose, and desired reader base. Fleeing The Social Scene is just a blog.

Just a Blog?

I have no intention of making this blog into a mega mogul site. I’m not a mega mogul. I’m a freakin’ college student. I’d like to have a place to rant, babble, and post what comes to mind. I’ve got other sites for that specific “on topic” stuff. This here is just a place to say what’s on my mind.

The times they are a-changin’

Since January of this year i’ve learned a lot about earning money on the web. How some people are either financially smart enough, or just plain lucky that they can earn hundreds even thousands a month from just their blogs. That’s some news to me! I’m happiest with the realization that as of this semester I am understanding why I am understanding some of the stuff I do. Also I think that i’m realizing i’ve got the skills to build some of these sites i’ve planned on for some time.

but now… I need to get back to homework.
