Want a review from John Chow? It’s not cheap!

So last night i was talking to my buddy Henry from Brohans.com about my new blog. blah, blah i’m trying to grow my new blog… same old thing. Henry suggested I get a ReviewMe review from John Chow. I considered it until I saw the price! Yeah, I’d be getting a lot of readers from his blog finding out about my blog, but for $500 it’s plain old not worth it!
So here’s why The Evil One can’t help me:
- I’ve got a very young site, not much content means there isn’t too much to review.
- I’m not running a monetized blog. So i’m not making any money back on my investment.
- I’ll be out $500 because I don’t’ even plan to impliment monetization and ads until I’ve got a solid reader base.
So how do you look to improve your traffic if you are trying to grow traffic and not money? Does a gain in traffic come at a monetary cost?
