July 29, 2007 – 10:48 pm| By admin

This time Derrich Tagged me in the Geek Link train! (I didn’t know this thing existed till i was tagged. So here we go!)

——- START COPYING HERE ———-

Geek Train - All Aboard!

  1. Write a short paragraph at the beginning of your post and linkback to the blog(s) that put you on the list in the paragraph. You MUST do this. No-one plans on getting slapped for duplicate content any time soon, do they?
  2. Next, copy the list of originals below COMPLETELY and add it to your own blog. If you’d like a different keyword for your blog then change it, when you do your post, and it should pass to most blogs with that keyword, provided the train keeps on spreading.
  3. Take the adds from the blog that added you and place them in the “Originals” list.
  4. Add at least three new favourite blogs of yours to keep the train going, e-mail the blog owners (or comment on one of their posts) and insist that they post.

The Originals:
(The kick-ass) Nate Whitehill
(The original) 13-Year Old Blogger
(The money-making) Affiliate Marketing guide

I got tagged by the blogging tips link train!

July 29, 2007 – 10:36 pm| By admin

Joel Szerlip from WorldOfJoel decided to tag me in the latest and I think one of the most interesting memes to date. Check out what’s up below.

-Start Copy-

It’s very simple. When this is passed on to you, copy the whole thing, skim the list and put a * star beside those that you like. (Check out especially the * starred ones.)

Add the next number (1. 2. 3. 4. 5., etc.) and write your own blogging tip for other bloggers.

Try to make your tip general. After that, tag 10 other people. Link love some friends!

Just think – if 10 people start this, the 10 people pass it onto another 10 people, you have 100 links already!

Good Luck!

Lazy Man’s Income Revisited…

July 23, 2007 – 11:00 am| By admin

Back in April when I was first starting this blog I made a post on residual or passive income. A bit has changed since then. I say that because my current work environment makes me realize these changes. I’ve spent about the last month working at a summer camp as a full time staff member. I’ve had a great time but one thing i’ve realized is that I can no longer sit and read blogs on my “lunch break,” also I’ve realized it has become harder for me to make time to find content and to sit down and write.

This new busyness which I now am living with has made me realize that blogging is much more of an active method of earning your money online than passive. Also though I’ve been learning to utilize the timestamp to help me spread out my posts, and my ideas for posts when I have them. Popularity of a blog still brings in more readers and I’ve got a few ideas up my sleeve as to how to help do that.

Bottom line, I’ve realized the past few weeks that other means of passive revenue sites are needed within my network for me to truly make money online given my current situation. My network is shifting, I’m making money, and I’m making progress.

Researching Those Advertising Possibilities

July 14, 2007 – 1:18 pm| By admin

Over the past few weeks now I’ve been looking into the various methods of advertising on this site. I’m still looking for what I feel is the right method for the blog. I’ve already posted about why I don’t think TLA will work (I can’t get a darn link sale!). I’ll be looking into a few other ad possibilites, various PPC options as well as link sales by other methods.

Anyways, this morning I found a post by Nomar at KingNomar.com breaking down the good and bad aspects of PPC. This is something I will use to help me figure out how to start earning money with this blog. I just thought It necessary to pass the article link along!

EDIT: I just found another article, this one by Darren Rowse about options for bloggers aside from Adsense. Another one worth passing along.
