About
Working from home full time since 2005. I made a total of $75 in my first 2 years. Anyone else would have given up by now. But I continued on to make $xxxx last year. Just when you think you should give up, that's the time when you really need to push harder. It doesn't get any easier with time, it gets harder.
So the weather is pretty crappy out right now. I think the drive to work took me about 10 minutes longer than usual from people slowing down because of the rain. Despite the fact that Michigan seems to have two seasons, Winter and Construction, I was passed by an Aston Martin going the opposite way down the road right near my work. Needless to say, I was a bit shocked.
It doesn’t need to be December 31st, 2007 for you to be making those resolutions. Most times people simply call them goals. If you can tell you’d like to make some changes or find something you want to achieve, set a goal and work to get there. This was a recent epiphany of mine. I realized yeah by next spring when i’m done with college i want to x,y,z…. Well why not start working toward those things now! Hell, it will only help me get there by then if i start working toward it now.
Let’s try breaking this down:
Make a clear and concise goal for yourself
Identify what you will do go archive your goal
Identify markers along your path to meeting your goal so that you know you are making success.
Let other people (friends, family, etc.) know about your goals so that they may help support you in achieving your goal.
Good luck, and don’t wait for New Year’s to roll around if you know there are changes you want to make in your life. Goals don’t need to be once a year resolutions.
Ok, so pretty much if I don’t get coffee in the morning I’m lagging. Yes, I’ll admit I’ve got a small caffeine dependency. As of late i’m trying to eat more healthy and get more natural sources of energy and not needing to rely so much on caffeine in the mornings, but for those of you who need that coffee check out The Caffeine Database. It’s a site that shows a breakdown of how much caffeine you get from each of those beverages you love so much. From a Diet Coke, to a Starbucks Grande Drip, to a NOS energy drink it’s all in there. The database sorts those drinks either by name, by amount of caffeine, or by amount of caffeine per ounce. Just click on that top row title and the database will reorganize the data sorted by the chosen method.
I hope this helps out you caffeine addicts, next time you are trying to get your fix.
So I just got a friend request on Facebook from none other than Gapingvoid’s Hugh MacLeod. After adding Hugh as a friend I noticed no mutual friends listed. Hmm, makes me wonder how Hugh got around to finding me on Facebook. I guess it’s good to know the guys who run the big blogs do try to get in touch with their readers and fans.
